The launching of Confiad inititative

During the early years the main attention was focussed to the Construction of the Confederation and its different bodies that were founded on 14/5/1982 in the Palais “Cà Ciustinian” Salon des Colonnes,San Marco in Venice. Right from the beginning two main items were put forward as being very important: The safeguarding of the identity of customs agents and the guidelines for the Confiad activities with this regard In order to reach as completely and as permanently as possible this goal already in 1982 three basic committees were created:

The Committee for international affairs

The Committe for european affairs

The Committee for technical matters

The future shall indicate that the three above committees indeed generated appropriate examination possibilites for:

Intercontintental relationship

European representativity

Highlighting the specificity of the profession
